The challenge
A major national healthcare organisation needed to make patient survey results accessible to thousands of individual medical practices, regional health bodies, and the public. The data was complex: multi-level geographic hierarchies, longitudinal tracking across years, statistical benchmarking between practices, and strict accessibility requirements for public-facing content.
This wasn't a standard dashboard project. The platform needed to function as both a content management system (publishing guidance, reports, and context alongside the data) and an interactive reporting tool. It had to work for practice managers with no technical background while also satisfying analysts who wanted to drill into the numbers.
The solution
Kicktag designed and built a bespoke platform combining CMS functionality with interactive data reporting. Practice-level results are presented through intuitive visualisations with geographic drill-down, benchmarking against regional and national averages, and trend tracking over time.
The CMS layer allows the commissioning body to publish accompanying guidance, methodology notes, and contextual content without requiring developer involvement. Monthly data refreshes are managed through an automated pipeline - new data uploads propagate across all views without manual intervention.
